Woman dies, man injured after pair struck by vehicle near Boston Medical Center

At about 8:45 PM, on Monday, September 3, 2024, 0ne person died and another was seriously injured after they were struck by a hit-and-run driver in Boston on Monday evening, police said in the area of Mass. Avenue and Albany Street, near Boston Medical Center.

The woman died, and a man remained hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.The driver of the vehicle has been identified. No arrests have been made.

South End Officers Arrest Breaking and Entering Suspect

At about 1:00 AM, on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) arrested a man, 44, of Somerville, on breaking and entering charges

Officers responded to the area of 28 Worcester Square for a rep ort of a breaking and entering in progress. Upon arrival, officers observed a male suspect fleeing from the area. Officers were able to stop the suspect in the area of Worcester Square and Harrison Avenue.

Officers were advised that the suspect entered the building, but got locked in between the first and second set of doors. The suspect forced his way back outside and shattered a window pane.

Mucci was placed under arrest and charged with Breaking and Entering Nighttime for a Felony. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.

Man stabbed outside Mass and Cass shelter; suspect arrested

At about 11:30 PM, on Sunday, August 25, 2024, Boston Police arrested a woman they say stabbed a man outside the city shelter at 112 Southampton Street.

The 34 year-old woman was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries not considered life threatening, police say.
